WHO WE ARE:

My Town Realty Group is a close-knit team of dedicated and friendly professionals. We started out in the Spring of 2011 with the purpose of CHANGING the RENTAL GAME. Our goal is to find success not by going on as many appointments as possible, but by taking the time to truly add value to the apartment renting experience. Our hope is to Now Hiringbuild a relationship of trust and respect with our rental clients by providing them the level of service they could expect as buyers. A few short months later we have exceeded our own expectations. Our clients are greatly appreciative of our honesty, professionalism and attention to detail. Despite the stresses of starting a business, our first year has been a successful one.

As we move into our second year, we are looking to grow. We need more leasing consultants to meet the demand for our services. WHAT TO EXPECT:

At My Town we believe that if the agent is successful the company is successful. You can expect to be FULLY TRAINED and have access to a company work space without being charged a desk fee. We give our agents the freedom to choose the level of support that best suits them. Some prefer to generate their own leads and see them through start to finish. If you need more aid than this, it is available to you. Our in house staff can provide you with screened leads, schedule your appointments and process paperwork. Your job as an agent will be to build relationships, show apartments, and act as liaison between your client and their prospective landlord.

Since this job is commission based, you are in CONTROL of YOUR OWN SUCCESS. A good agent can expect to make around $40,000/year, but a great agent pursuing this as a career has unlimited earning potential. Although you are free to set your own schedule, you must also accommodate your clients. This will often mean working evenings and weekends, though you will not be required to. This is a profession where you truly get out what you put in. It is not a summer job for the halfhearted, but rather an opportunity to have a rewarding occupation in a workplace where you are treated with respect.

3 Qualities Needed for Success

  • Integrity: You will be trusted to give advice and must always consider your clients’ best interest, even if in the short term it is not in your own best interest.
  • Self-Motivation: You are an independent professional who is the CEO of your own enterprise. My Town will offer you support, but it can only help you if you have the drive to succeed.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A major part of your job will be building and maintaining client relationships. A background in sales, retail or customer service may help, but is not necessary.

If you possess the above qualities, the skills you need to become an agent will easily fall into place. My Town will train, assist and support you in developing these skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Access to an insured and presentable vehicle

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

  • Willing and able to obtain a real estate leasing license

  • Professional and amiable attitude
